When I was five years old I was very proud of my ability to play ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ on the piano. (With three fingers – one hand only!)

I practiced for hours to get my half-minute presentation polished to perfection.

My grand debut as a concert pianist came one glorious Sunday evening after dinner. My proudly beaming Mother sat me down at the piano for my first solo performance before a disinclined audience of trapped relatives. She smiled indulgently throughout my brief, prodigious performance. My relatives winced in pain. A child prodigy I was not.

However, these amazing prodigies – not all of whom are children – bless my heart every time I listen to them play. They are truly the gifted ones. (I know, because they use both hands and all their fingers!)

I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I do.
