Jesus is Named in Every Book of the Bible




Genesis – He is the Creator, Promised Redeemer, the Seed of the Woman.

Exodus – He is the Passover Lamb.

Leviticus – He is our High Priest.

Numbers – He is the Pillar of Cloud by Day, the Pillar of Fire by Night, and Water in the Desert

Deuteronomy – His is a prophet like unto Moses. He becomes the curse for us.

Joshua – He is the “Captain of our Salvation” and the “Commander of the Army” of the Lord.

Judges – He delivers us from injustice. He is our Judge and Law-Giver.

Ruth – He is our Kinsman-Redeemer.

1 Samuel – He is our trusted prophet and our all in one. He is Prophet, Priest, and King.

2 Samuel – He is King of grace & love.

1 Kings – He is a Ruler greater than Solomon. He is our Reigning King.

2 Kings – He is The Powerful Prophet.

1 Chronicles – He is the son of David who is coming to rule.

2 Chronicles – He is the King who reigns eternally.

Ezra – He is our Faithful Scribe and our Priest proclaiming freedom.

Nehemiah – He is the Rebuilder of broken walls.

Esther – He is our Mordecai, The protector of his people.

Job – He is the mediator between God and man. Our ever-living redeemer.

Psalms – He is our song morning and night. He is the Lord, our shepherd.

Proverbs – He is our wisdom.

Ecclesiastes – He is our meaning for life.

Song of Solomon – He is the author of faithful love. He is our Lover and our Bridegroom.

Isaiah – He is the Suffering Servant. The Prince of Peace.

Jeremiah – He is the weeping Prophet and Messiah.

Lamentations – He is the bearer of God’s wrath on our behalf.

Ezekiel – He is the wonderful ‘Son of Man.’

Daniel – He is the fourth person in the fiery furnace.

Hosea – He is the faithful, eternal husband forever married to the back-slider.

Joel – He is the sender of His Spirit to His people. He is the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit.

Amos – He is the delivere of justice to the oppressed. He is our Burden Bearer.

Obadiah – He is our Saviour.

Jonah – He in the great foreign missionary.

Micah – He is the one who casts our sin into the sea of forgetfulness. He is the Messenger with beautiful feet.

Nahum – He proclaims future world peace we cannot even imagine. He is our avenger.

Habakkuk – He crushes injustice. He is the evangelist pleading for a revival.

Zephaniah – He is the Lord, mighty to save.

Haggai – He restores our worship. He is the restorer of our lost heritage.

Zechariah – He is prophesied as the Messiah pierced for us. He is the cleansing fountain opened in the house of David.

Malachi – He is the “Sun of Righteousness” rising with healing in his wings.

Matthew – He the Messiah King.>

Mark – He is the Messiah who is a Servant.>

Luke – He is the ‘Son of Man,’ the Messiah who is a Deliverer.

John – Hi is the ‘Son of God,’ the Messiah who is God in the flesh.

Acts – He is the Holy Spirit who dwells in His people, moving and working among men.

Romans – He is the Justifier, the righteousness of God.

1 Corinthians – He is he is the power and love of God, our sanctifier.

2 Corinthians – He is the foreshadow of what’s to come.

Galatians – He is the Redeemer from the Curse of the Law. He is our very life.

Ephesians – He is the ‘Christ of Unsearchable Riches’, the unifier of His church.

Philippians – He is the God who supplies all our need, the joy of our life.

Colossians – He is ‘the fulness of the God-Head bodily.’

1 Thessalonians – He is our comfort in the last days.

2 Thessalonians – He is our returning King.

1 Timothy – He is the mediator between God and man.

2 Timothy – He is the leader of all leaders.

Titus – He is the faithful minister, the foundation of truth.

Philemon – He is our Mediator, the champion of the oppressed.

Hebrews – He is our High Priest, the blood of the everlasting covenant.

James – He is the ‘Lord who Raises the Sick.’

1 Peter – He is our hope in times of suffering

2 Peter – He is the ‘Chief Shepherd’ who will soon appear and the One who guards us from false teaching.

1 John – source of all fellowship.

2 John – He is God in the flesh, He is Love!

3 John – He is the source of all truth.

Jude – He is the “Lord coming with ten thousands of His Saints.”

Revelation – He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords,

He is The Alpha and the Omega,

He is The Beginning and the End.

He is The ‘One who is coming again’ and the One who makes all things new’.
