Philippians 4:4-8

When they saw the star, they were filled with JOY!

LUKE 2:10-11 – “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great JOY to all people. The Saviour – yes, the Messiah, the Lord – has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!

LUKE 15:7
7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

JOHN 16:22
22 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

JOHN 16:24 ~ Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

ROMANS 5:1-2
1Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Christ our Lord has done for us.
2.Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and JOYfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

ROMANS 12:12 ~ Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

ROMANS 14:17 ~ For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit…

ROMANS 15:13 ~ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

GALATIANS 5:22 ~ 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

1 PETER 1:6
So be truly glad. There is wonderful JOY ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.

1 PETER 1:8-9
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

2 JOHN 1:12

1 KINGS 1:40
And all the people followed Solomon into Jerusalem, playing flutes and shouting for JOY. The celebration was so joyous and noisy that the earth shook with the sound.

So all Israel brought up the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant with shouts of JOY, the blowing of ram’s horns and trumpets, the crashing of cymbals, and loud playing on harps and lyres.

1 CHRONICLES 16:26-27
The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the Lord made the heavens! Honor and majesty surround Him; strength and JOY fill His dwelling.

EZRA 3:13 & 16
The joyful shouting and weeping mingled together in a loud noise that could be heard far in the distance… The temple of God was then dedicated with great JOY by the people of Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the rest of the people who had returned from exile.

PSALM 27:6

PSALM 16:11 – You will show me the way of life, granting me the JOY of Your presence and the pleasure of living with You forever.

PSALM 30:5,6
5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favour lasts a lifetime; weeping comes in the night, but joy comes in the morning.
6 Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.

PSALM 32:1-2
1 Oh, what JOY for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! 2 Yes, what JOY for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty!

PSALM 47:1 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.

PSALM 65:4
What JOY for those You choose to bring near, those who live in Your holy courts. What festivities await us inside Your holy Temple!

PSALM 68:3 But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with JOY.

28 The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.

23 A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word!

PROVERBS 17:22 ~ A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

7 Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.

3 You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as warriors rejoice when dividing the plunder.

6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.

ISAIAH 35:10
10 and those the LORD has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

ISAIAH 61:10
I am overwhelmed with JOY in the Lord my God! For He has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.

Jeremiah 15:16

When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my JOY and my heart’s delight, for I bear Your name, oh Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.

NEHEMIAH 8:10 “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

17 In every province and in every city to which the edict of the king came, there was joy and gladness among the Jews, with feasting and celebrating. And many people of other nationalities became Jews because fear of the Jews had seized them.

The Bible tells us that the source of all joy is Jesus.

John 14: And the Word (Jesus) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

God’s plan from the beginning was that Word was made flesh to dwell among us. Jesus is the rock on which we stand. All other ground is sinking sand!

Let there be joy to the world! Let ua Rejoice and give glory to God!


And He is coming again!

Rejoice in the the Lord and again I say REJOICE!

If you do not already know the Lord, seek Him and you will find Him when you seek Him with your whole heart!
