WORSHIP PRACTICES

.

In the 2000+ years since the church’s beginning, congregational worship practices have taken various forms.

The Reformation was a movement that influenced many changes to worship practices. I find it worth examining if these changes are biblically based rather than based primarily on human preferences and traditions.

The following three videos offer David Pawson’s insights into the evolution of the church and its practices over the past twenty centuries.

Keep in mind that this is one man’s opinion. David Pawson always reminds us that we are to search the scriptures for ourselves and to pray for the Lord’s guidance in all things concerning His perfect will.

PART THREE: TOMORROW’S CHURCH

I would be delighted to see some of these changes applied to what has now become a standard worship service pattern in many, but not all, of today’s churches.

David Pawson always exhorts us to not take his word about what he teaches without prayerfully checking what is written in the scriptures.

Thank you Lord that you promise to give wisdom to all who prayerfully ask, seek and knock! (Matthew 7:7)
