BAPTISM

.

Should you choose to watch these videos, I pray that you will find them to be both interesting and challenging.

The practice of baptism in Christian denominations varies. Some denominations baptize infants. Some denominations baptize by sprinkling. Others baptize by immersion. Some baptize infants. Others baptize only those who have made a profession of faith in Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

Baptismal practices have been practiced since the time of John the Baptist, the cousin of Jesus. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. There is no biblical record as to whether or not John the Baptist was himself baptized, either by springing or immersion.

I have posted this article, both as a handy reference for myself, and hopefully, as a resource for others who may be wanting to learn more about this topic.

Because I enjoy the clarity and practicality of David Pawson’s teaching, I have posted this article here not only as a reference for myself, but as a resource to share with others who may be seeking some insight into this controversial Christian doctrine and practice. And as David Pawson always says about anything he teaches: Pray and check the scriptures for yourself!

If you, too, are wanting to learn more about this topic, this is an excellent resource that may help you learn more about where you stand now, or where you would like to stand but are uncertain as to the path to take at this time.

Charismatics and Evangelicals. A talk presented by David Pawson. David Pawson is now with the Lord in eternity.

Regardless of our views and practices, we can stand united in agreement that the Bible does indeed mention baptism!
